Welcome letter!
Dear 2B students,
I hope that you had a wonderful and blessed summer, full of sunshine and fun! My name is Ms. Thuro and I will be your 2nd grade teacher this year! I feel very blessed to have you in my class this year and I know that we will have a great time learning together. This is my 7th year teaching, my 2nd year in 2nd grade! My previous years have been in preschool, where I have met several of you before. I hope you are just as excited as I am for this year’s adventure together.
This year, we will explore and learn many wonderful things in science, social studies, math, and language arts. 2nd grade is also a very important year because we learn and prepare for two amazing sacraments: First Penance and First Holy Communion. It’s an exciting and very busy year!
I look forward to meeting you during our Ice Cream Social on August 17th from 4:30 - 6:00! I look forward to meeting your parents as well, since we work together on your educational and spiritual journey. Our first day of school will be August 19th, from 8:00 – 3:15! I am already blessed to have you in my class and I look forward to spending a year together!
God Bless
Ms. Thuro
